The naming of「Platirid」came after two chemical elements, such as Platinum(atomic#78) and Iridium(atomic#77)。Both platinum and iridium have excellent resistance to corrosion, and extremely stable. Therefore, International Prototype of the Kilogram (aks "IPK") is made by the alloy of platinum and iridium. The logo of "Platirid Trading" symbolizes the awesome Pt-Ir alloy!
